Wanting to inquire if I was to purchase a unit, I would be able to let my Father and Grandmother live there? I will not be the resident. Please advise.

    • admin says:

Thanks for this inquiry Marlene. The financial buyer does not matter to us, most residents are financed by ‘someone’, whether private or bank. We are only concerned with the resident being the leaseholder, so your father and grandmother would need to qualify, therefore yes, you could purchase with them being the occupants upon approval. I would be pleased to discuss further at your convenience.

  2. Dianne says:

Once a contract is signed, how long does it take for occupancy

    • admin says:

It can take 3 – 4 months depending on the time of the year to have the home built. During that time, we are excavating, installing utilities etc. Once the home is delivered, it takes about another two weeks to assemble on site, then you can move in. After that, we will still be working outside, adding the skirting, pouring the driveway, building the deck. Depending on how many installs we’re doing at the same time and what time of the year, this could be immediate or span a few weeks but you’ll be able to occupy in the meantime. Hope this helps!

It helps immensely, for Randy and I our retirement can’t come fast enough. We loved the property, the concept fits our vision of retirement. Thank you so much for your response

Could You please tell me what is needed to qualify as a leaseholder /mortgages

    • admin says:

Hi Heather, there are many details/explanations which I’d be glad to discuss with you by phone at your convenience.

Hi, I apologize for the delay in responding, this message wasn’t automatically forwarded to me for some reason. I can arrange a tour at your convenience. I’m on site seven days a week but it’s always best to call ahead. My cell is 519-670-2468.

  5. Lucy says:

Is there an additional cost for the land on which the mobile home will be situated? If so, what is the cost?

    • admin says:

      Hi Lucy,

My apologizes for the delay in responding, this wasn’t forwarded to me for some reason. This is a ‘land lease’, where you own the home (purchased through Oriole Park) and rent/lease the land. All costs are found on the ‘Frequently asked Questions’ page of our website. Please call (519.670.2469) if you have specific questions or email (onair@rogers.com) and I’d be glad to help or set up a time to tour.

Again, my apologies.

  7. Laura Cappucci says:

I have 6 years till I reach 55yrs old. How soon can I buy before then?

    • admin says:

      Hi Laura,

Our target market is 55+, however that doesn’t mean that you have to be 55, it’s more important that you ‘fit the lifestyle’ and have common interests and standards as our other residents. We do have a few folks in around 50 so we would be happy to meet to discuss further if you’d like to see if/when you’re ready!

  8. Debbie & RonBowerman says:

Do we need to build a home or can we purchase one available or a move a used one into the park. Looking for year round occupancy.

    • admin says:

      Hi Debbie & Ron,

All home sales go through Oriole Park as we are an exclusive dealer with General Coach. You would need to either purchase a new (custom designed and built) home or one of our ‘resales’. Thanks for the inquiry!

      • Debbie & RonBowerman says:

Thank you. Do you have any resales ready now. Looking for 2 bedroom. We would like to visit in two weeks, would that be a problem. Debbie

        • admin says:

Hi Debbie, my apologies for the delay in responding. Would be pleased to arrange a tour anytime at your convenience! Please call for more immediate response, thanks!

  9. Wilma Minaker says:

Do you allow older grandchildren to stay for longer visits. My granddaughter is looking at possibly attending Western in 3 yrs and was wondering if she could stay with us during her studies.

    • admin says:

Unfortunately no, we are a 55+ resort so all occupants must be close to that age. Certainly overnight or short-term guests of any age may visit, but not to live in.

  10. Carolyn says:

Hello! I’ve been looking around for an alternative to retirement living and I think I found it with Oriole Park! I am 2 years from retirement so not ready to make this transition yet, but should I reserve a lot now to build on in future or put my name on a list or something? I am 63 now. Thanks so much!

    • admin says:

Hi Carolyn! Yes, I agree, you’ve found it! We really can’t reserve lots however and they are going pretty quickly. Once you’re ready, you’ll put a deposit to hold the lot while your new home is being built. Many folks aren’t waiting to retire, about 25% continue to work from the resort (depending on your location of course!). Let me know if you’d like a tour or if I can be of any further assistance in the meantime!

  11. Carolyn says:

Are there similar mobile home parks to Oriole Park of which you are aware in southern Ontario?

  12. admin says:

There are mobile home parks for sure, we truly feel we offer a unique alternative as a ‘lifestyle resort’, many more amenities on site than most, and I think more modern. We want to leave our residents feeling as if they are living on vacation, that separates us from many other properties. The most similar to ours would be a property about an hour north of here called Grand Coves, it’s the only one I’ve heard folks compare us to however I’ve never visited it.

  13. Carolyn says:

Once we reserve a lot, how soon must be start building the mobile home? We are very interested in your resort!
